FISHING ASSOCIATION IN KARVIA Fishing rights derive from land ownership with certain exceptions. Fishing waters generally come under the jurisdiction of the local fishing association, which administers fishing rights to jointly owned waters. The fishing association will take care of the fish population, adjust and watch fishing, crayfishing and duck shooting. The area of Karvia fishing association (Please, look at the map, which may open slowly!) consist Karvianjärvi, Kirkkojärvi and Rastiainen lakes and the Karvianjoki –river with its forks. Also the permit sellers will have the map. Ojajärvi and Suomijärvi have their own associations. Normally angling and ice fishing are public rights no permit is required, but there are some exceptions in our area e.g. Kantinkoski and Aunesluoma. Crayfishing is forbidden and it is not allowed to plant spot crayfish in the waters of the local fishing society. Ice fishing in Kirkkojärvi gives perches and in spring fishing with nets gives big spawning pikes. There are pike-perches, lavarets, ides, big pikes and a lot of breams in Karvianjärvi –lake. In Rastiaisjärvi –lake there are a lot of small perches. The forest administration owns a part of the lake.
